Great video and facts!
Awesome video. can u tell me if after some miles ur frond end stays a bit higher than the back? or it sits same front and rear? and how much u lower it? its bumbing? or its smooth?
Hey buddy did you reuse the blue plastic covers off the old shocks?
Stay away from Spec Clutch, crap product with even worse customer service.
Im going to do this swap to my MK2 ST/XR5i .. Buying these in the US because its sooo much cheaper.. and let them send them to Germany.
Hey man, just stumbled across your channel and saw you haven't posted for a few years. Loved the content that you have but just curious if you're alright?
Anyone have any ideas about where to find stock parts for Boss 302?
I didn't get lock out but I am still low miles though.. I did the Steeda Stock shifter Bracket and the Trans insert.. I have a lot of NVH now.. I am going to pull the trans insert and see if the noise calms down along with the cabin vibration too.. I hope it does.. People are telling me it's the insert that is causing the most NVH and not the Steeda Bracket. I am under 11,000 and the stock shifter wasn't that bad even with the stock bracket.. I can see how over time the rubber gets worse and shifts get more sloppy.. But I am going to pull that trans insert out and see how I like it like that.. I already have syncro II ready to go.. I will be putting fresh syncro II in when I do the next oil change.. Also I noticed that it takes the MT82 a while to warm up.. Like a half Hr. into driving and the trans and sycro's seem to smooth out..
I know your fuel mileage is better. That's fun too!
Where did you get the brembo decals?
Where did you get the Brembo stickers from?? Can’t seem to find authentic ones
What exhaust is on that car?!?
Great video. You are not giving me hope upgrading my front struts. 😂 I am also battling rust on this car and I take really good care of it too. I spray a ton of rust prevention oil under the car and power wash under after each snowstorm. I live in the Northeast by the ocean so I'm always fighting an uphill battle. The sway bar hex-bolt design is terrible on this car where my first removal I stripped the hex of course. The rear bumper on this car rusts really bad btw.
Running tubes?
This year mustang is my favorite i wanted one this year 13-14
Dude looks like Eminem from like 2012
You have to buy the magic in the bottle. The Motocraft XL18. Average price $35 for a point .9 oz. 🙉🙈🙊🔥🌲💨💨😶🌫️
The MT822 is Beef Chow Mein.💀
I know this is old but high rpm lockout is always the clutch. Also, why do you need to change the tune if it’s cold? People, fords ecu logic will adjust Also Pirellis are hot garbage
Thank you so much for the part numbers and the forum post!
I'm so angry at myself for blowing my toolbox nut on boxes that don't jive well, when all I wanted was the same setup with the two end and overhead cabinets that all bolt together like yours do! Dammit. Spent a few hundred more than that setup costs too
Did you have to swap to an RS master cylinder? Or is the volumetric flow rate pretty much the same as ST calipers?
I was told they are the same master cylinder and booster. Being a 4 piston caliper I don’t believe there is a big volumetric difference. For example on my Boss 302, when going from the 4 piston Brembo to the S550 6 piston I did experience a difference in brake pedal pressure. This is solved by changing the Booster, master cylinder and hard lines from master to ABS module.
I keep finding the stoptech stainless steel braided brake line part numbers being the same for both the ST and RS. Anyone have experience with this?
RS front lines are different than the ST. Rear lines are the same.
was on Brailsfords stream hearing the story of you and your Boss, unfortunate to experience no doubt. hopefully non of us ever experience some thing like that again
Did you sell your old watts link?
Tires are pain in the ass to get balanced, and they cause tread pull. Car wandered like crazy. Also way too easy to flat spot, like literally after 1 day of not driving. Good grip but definitely does not deserve all the hype
Got you brother from Brailsfords 👊💪🇺🇸🚗🔧
So I have a 12 Boss 302 and am debating on installing long tubes, when you had to tune your car they can keep the red key with the lopey idle? And just change what needs to be changed without messing with it?
If you go with HP tuners, Yes you get to keep the track key and all the features
@@SeanMcGuigan I seen they have the boss h pipe that have the side exhaust for sale now. I might do the headers, no cats, with the quad exhaust set up. When that lope kicks in your car sounds beautiful, best sounding boss on the internet. The quad may make it louder but I can live with that on a weekend warrior car.
'69-'70 Boss 302 Mustangs were badass cars. Newer versions, not so much.
What shop did you use? I’m in Van as well, would love to get this done.
I used United Automotive Interiors in Surrey. Great shop and they come highly recommended
What's good for fast mountain stuff i live in west virginia and like to take turns a bit quick and don't want to end up in a revine
I live un CA. Don't like the Pirelli P0 either
Dang that GT 500 blew your doors off lol
very cool tutorial, not 100% but if you've done brakes you really dont need all the uninstall/install details. Ive been to many track days and lots of intense weekend back road cruises, and the stock ST brakes are terrible. They will fade very quickly if you're on them for consecutive corners. I have Hawk DTC-60 pads, ss lines, and Motul 600 high temp fluid, and it made a DRASTIC difference on the track. I have a separate set of rotors/pads/wheels/tires for the track vs daily...so I just swap the Hawk stuff off after racing. Im picking up my buddy's Brembo RS calipers for the front with SS lines and some rotors.. you do lose the dust shield but the brake performance increase is well worth it. I'll prob keep the rears as the stock ST set up since i already have good rotors/pads for it.. but once they're shot i'll look into the RS rotor/Mazda bracket like you did here. Cars on its way! Lots of improvements others wont notice until they see how well you perform and wonder 'what all you've done to it' ^_^ I get asked a lot on the cruises with high powered V8's and supercars at the track (ZR1's, GT3/GT2's, etc) what all i have done, and i tell them its a stock turbo and stock motor with just FBO and E30...they cant believe it. These cars really do very well on a track with a good driver, and braking/cooling are your biggest enemies. Get yourself a quality oil cooler too..temps get real high on the track.
Sweet stang. I see your from B.C. I'm from Kelowna. Just started racing myself at end of last year. Hope to make it to a race there at mission. My closest tracks are at Thunder Mountain and Osoyoos. Good luck this year !!!!
Thank you!
Looks just like my 12 boss in yellow 😢 back in December. I’m still torn up about it. But looked exactly the same. Whole right side. Was wondering if you can post the vid of the crash tho.
Let's see 5 years ago so car was only 6 years old.
Might to swap to my bilstein rear shocks, currently have BC’s but the rear shocks kinda suck, luckily I have the bilstein rear shocks brand new in box yet from my last car that uses the same bilstein coilovers that the Focus uses.
Clutch shifter and fluid and it's perfect
Daily drive a rear wheel drive car in cold weather climate like Canada, why? Just why
Its not a coyote lmfao
Good info thanks.
I just bought these for my BMW X1 3.5i see how they do, He's looking sane dude I didn't realize how good these are, your machine has just so much power and torque and then it's a little wet you might as well just test it see how they drift
Crazy how ignorant people can drive these kinds of cars. First of all, it’s a Roadrunner, not a Coyote. Second of all, the MT82 is not that bad of a transmission. I made 700whp through a stock MT82 and never had issues. Upgrade to a good clutch and put in some good fluid, and it fixes like 95% of the issues. But what would a guy with a NA Boss that probably hasn’t even hit 100mph know about that…
I' think if buy the stage 1 clutch there are some brand where you feel pedal of clutch softer and changing gear will be smooth too if you think those old formula 1 car from 80 to 90 you can see the struggle to change gear but they do like 70 laps racing so changing clutch will fix 90% of the time.
Does anybody have any advice on beefing up the clutch pedal assembly? I recently did a high RPM pull and now it has a little play at the top of the range on the pedal? Like I have to pull it back with my foot about 80% of the time
Did you happen to figure this out? Mine does the same thing.
Good tires, but they don't last very long, especially here in Arizona Phoenix... I basically got two years out of them maybe 18,000 miles.. I'm gonna try Yokohama's The problem is, this is the second pair of extreme contacts in less than five years that I've gone through. I thought the first set was just a fluke or something but they didn't last long at all.
スノーフレークマークが付いてないのが残念。
But can you put st brakes on an rs?
can tell if you're trolling...or.... but for some reason if you're serious, why would you want to do a massive downgrade in both size and performance? to maybe clear 17" wheels on an RS? lol
I really like your Boss vids man. Sorry to see you left.
